Logan Conner(Narrator 1) loves opportunities to refer to himself in the third person and this opportunity to perform outdoors again! Logan also primarily works with with organizations with portmanteau names like: Showparty for experimental theatre, Awesomonster for web content and interviews, Oomphotography for photography, and Vaudezilla where Logan is currently portraying The Dude in Rollin' Outta Here Naked: A Big Lebowski Burlesque at Stage 773.
Christopher Creane (Jimmy) is new to the area and thrilled to have his Chicago debut with Theatre-Hikes. Originally hailing from Virginia, Chris has worked professionally all over the country his favorite roles being: The Mad Hatter (Alice In Wonderland), Himself (The Complete Works of William Shakespeare Abridged) and Oliver (As You Like It). In his spare time he binge watches episodes of The Office and The Sopranos.
Lilien Harvey (Make-up Designer) is a certified makeup artist from Evanston. She studied at Makeup First School of Makeup Artistry with instructors such as Jill Glaser, Roy Wooley, and Roshar. She specializes in Film, TV, and Theatrical makeup. She is also the Theatre-Hikes apprentice for the 2016 season.
Mary Iris Loncto (Zombie) is an actor, dancer, and choreographer from Ridgewood, New Jersey. She recently graduated from Northwestern University, where she performed in many faculty and student productions, including Big Love (Olympia), Middletown (Librarian), and She Kills Monsters (Kaliope). In Chicago, she has recently performed in Collaboraction's Peacebook festival.
Felix Mayes (Sam) is so excited to have worked with this cast of zombies in his second Theatre-Hikes production. Felix has had the opportunity to perform on stages from NJPAC to the Lincoln Center to DvorÃ¡k Hall in Prague, as a singer, actor, and dancer. Some of his credits include: Angel (Rent), Edgar (Bat Boy), Juliet (Romeo and Juliet), Franklin Shepard (Merrily We Roll Along), and The Mummy (Ghost Sonata). He has participated in the Philly Fringe Festival and Irene Ryan Acting Festival, as well as the American College Dance Festival. Felix is a graduate a Muhlenberg College.
Aileen McGroddy (Director) is a director, movement director, and clown. At Theatre-Hikes, she directed last season’s In This Final Century. She is a member of the Forks & Hope Ensemble, where she directed A Hero’s Journey. She is the curator of The Whiskey Radio Hour, a recurring night of new radio plays and live music. She is also a company member of TUTA, where she directed the TUTALab Have a Seat and movement directed Music Hall, The Anyway Cabaret, and The Jewels. Other directing credits includeUlysses (The Plagiarists), MUTINY (Chicago Fringe Festival), and the upcoming projects, The Snowy Day (Assoc. and Movement Director, Emerald City Theatre) and Dead Ringer (Deathscribe).
Meaghan Morris (Christy)is a recent Chicago transplant, being forced to flee home after breaking into a top-secret government facility and releasing a rabid zombie/gerbil hybrid. She is overjoyed to be working with Theatre-Hikes while she lays low and hides from the CIA. Past credits have included The Bitter Tears of Petra von Kant (Petra), God of Carnage (Vanessa), The Liar (Isabelle/Sabine), A New Brain (Mother), Next to Normal (Diana), Romeo and Juliet (Nurse), and Grease (Rizzo).
Matthew Powell (Costume Designer) has worked on almost every production with Theatre-Hikes over the past several years. You may recognize his prop/puppet work from Jackie, The Hobbit, Wizard of Oz, Around the World in 80 days, Hound of the Baskervilles, Alice in Wonderland, The Iliad, the Odyssey, and all of Greek Mythology in 99 minutes or less, and as director for The Wizard of Oz, Wind in the Willows, A Walk with Mark Twain, You’re a Good man, Charlie Brown!, Clue, and this seasons, Driving Miss Daisy. He did costumes for Clue!, and The Jungle Book, and he is happy to be a part time zombie hunter. Thank you Bradley for all you do to keep us on the trails.
Eldridge Shannon III (Mowgli) was born and raised in Evanston, IL. He started training in west Los Angeles, California at Amazing Grace Conservatory when he was 10 and instantly fell in love with acting. His previous shows with Theatre-Hikes includes The Jungle Book, playing the role of Mowgli. Eldridge is excited to work with Theatre-Hikes for the second time and to continue making more memorable stage moments with the cast and crew.
Kelsey Shipley (Narrator 2) is an emerging actor, artist, and model from Chattanooga, TN. After moving to the Windy City three and a half years ago, she has had the privilege to work with fantastic storefront companies such as Strawdog, First Floor, Collaboraction, Mozawa, New Moon, and Trap Door. She is currently an associate with Trap Door and a company member of a troupe she helped develop; Forks and Hope. Wesley Whitaker (Stage Manager) is thrilled to have his first professional stage management gig with Theatre-Hikes! Audiences might have seen me earlier in the season in The Iliad, The Odyssey, and all of Greek Mythology in 99 Minutes or Less. I also improvise at Second City and contribute to a couple of podcasts around the city.
